Would Lakers possibly start looking toward a future with Luka as their cornerstone now?

Trade LeBron for a couple of good players and draft picks to a team he could win a title with?

He will be 41 in December

Barkley mentioned GSW or Spurs as potential destinations

He might fit in well with the over the hill gang in Golden State.

That’s what I was thinking

Just don’t see the Spurs doing anything like that after the big Fox trade

I see them building onto what they have with younger pieces that could give them a decade or more of potential relevance

I mentioned the same thing in another thread.

Also, I can't see Luka and Lebron sharing the ball. Two alphas like them aren't going to gel well IMO.
The fact the Lakers didn't tell Lebron they were trading his buddy (AD), seems to indicate they don't care about his opinion anymore so I'm betting they trade him to Warriors so he can play with Steph like he's wanted to do.

Zero chance the Lakers win a title with this roster

Time to build for the post-Bron future

Lebron has been sharing the ball his whole entire career, that's the ONE knock on him compared to Jordan in the final moments of games. Not saying he's never done that but not enough of a killer like Jordan and Kobe in those moments.

I'm not sure its a ball sharing issue as much as a "who's in charge" type question between them.

Each seemed to always be dictating what the team should do and how it should be run. Now, there will be two people demanding to give direction with the Lakers. I see conflict coming up.

I'm almost 💯 certain James has a no trade.

Hes got a $50M player option next year. I'm sure he'll walk at end of season.
Yes he does have a no-trade clause

Not sure why Lakers would trade LeBron. They literally have Luka and LeBron on the same roster.....LeBron would prefer to play off the ball more than he does. They both can create their own shot, as well as create shots for others. It'll work.

Can't believe there are people who actually think Dallas won the trade lol

LeBron has openly vocalized wanting to play less point-guard (or point-forward). He is going to welcome someone else being the primary ball-handler

LeBron can still create for others from the wing more. LeBron and Luka are both tremendous at creating shots for others.

They both can obviously create for themselves, but they're not ball hogs

Their offense is going to be incredible

They’ll be like the 1999 Rams
Even if not

Silly how people think there’s “not enough ball to go around”

Lebron one of the best passers of all time — the best passer in the NBA for a solid 10 straight seasons

An offense with LeBron and Luka will work lol like goddamn

Bigger concerns on the defensive end . They need to go get a rim protector
