Baseball is harder and harder every day that passes in the season.

Mix in the expanded playoffs and it’s just randomness at times - guys are going all or nothing with their swings - no one trying for singles these days.

I’m seriously considering shutting down by baseball play for the year after today - nothing like walking away with a positive number and just not finding opportunities like I did early in the season.

Stupid chalk on some of these games - seeing decent starting pitching going up against some spot starter/rookie and -300 money lines. Wasn’t too long ago I saw a line that high for the first time on a Dodgers game at home with Kershaw starting vs Marlins - now you see it once a week it feels like.

I remember thinking who in the hell is that stupid to lay 3-1 on a team. Sure guy is the best pitcher in the league taking on a bunch of rookies - but it’s baseball (and sure enough Miami won). Now it’s every week and seeing ROAD teams commanding such a high number. That’s absolute stupidity as a bettor. You either take the dog or stay away and find better value plays on the board.

Doesn’t matter if a team has the best record in the league and are playing the worst team. Guys know best team is making the playoffs regardless of the outcome and the guys on the worst team know there’s a chance to earn a starting job next year if they impress someone in that game.

When you’re on the West Coast if you don’t like the early stuff, it’s just not fitting well into the schedule
Agreed, that's the one thing I miss about living on the East Coast is the later games. I used to like the 10:00 p.m./ 10:30 starts years ago. It's difficult to get up that early on a Sunday morning during football season for 10:00 a.m. starts
