And Suspended by the team. Could this be the end of his starting career?

"Alabama freshman defensive back Tony Mitchell was suspended by the team upon news of his last week, head coach Nick Saban announced Monday (March 20) evening.

Mitchell was reported to be evading Holmes County (Fla.) Sheriff's Department deputies at 141 MPH before being stopped and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and/or distribute, an arrest report obtained by AL.com through a public records request confirmed. Passenger Christophere Lewis was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell and/or distribute, as well as carrying a concealed firearm without a permit."

Genie, Some deperate coach somewhere will say the following to justify picking him up....

He's just a kid. Kids make mistakes. We need to let him learn from those mistakes without punishing him the rest of his life.... blah, blah, blah.

Perfect example is how Brandon Miller for Alabama BB program was treated after the Arizona killing.

The coach who will give this kind of reasoning should sign a legal letter and be held liable for any future crime that this player might commit.

There would likely be a footnote added to the letter saying.....

.... Mitchell will be held liable unless the coach deems his participation in upcoming games warrants waiving this requirement.....

:ROFLMAO:

I realize I'm being a pessimist on this topic but I'm likely right. SMH.

haha. I like this footnote better Tank. Sadly but it's the reality.

I watched Coach Carter the other day. The coach has always a big role in every player's life. Such an inspiring story.

Coach Carter is a great movie. It should be required watch for the parents of all high school basketball players.
