Wonderer, just got to say, I don't like Cris.

Saw him coming into a restaurant in Dallas. He treated everyone he interacted with like they were scum. Acted like a dick. I guess that left a lasting impression.

I think Herbstreit is a fantastic announcer. I see him working well with Michaels.

Thanks for sharing Tanko. That's disappointing. I was listening to a Howard Stern interview with Al Michaels and he talked about how it wasn't just him involved in a deal like the ones then being speculated about for him at another network. He made it sound like he was interested in taking some of his production staff with him. You'd have to think if he felt strongly about Collinsworth he could have moved him over, but dunno if Collinsworth is able to leave NBC.

Agree it should be good. Hell Michaels could probably call most of the game alone like a Vin Scully better than most networks A list team.

I read an article somewhere (can't find it), that said Amazon Prime will become one of the major NFL broadcasters displacing CBS long-term.

Why? The basic reasoning when something like this...

- Amazon is flush with cash and would be more than willing to pay for the NFL content for their Prime Video streaming. They can easily siphon $ from their other activities (Amazon.com, cloud services, etc...) to support their Prime Video.

- The networks (CBS, NBC, ABC/ESPN, FOX) and their parent companies have less $ available to compete with the likes of Amazon.

Always liked Al and Herbie. Never a fan of Collinsworth. He has got better the past few years but a hard listen for me when he started out.
