I’d take Steve Young over either of them at QB.

Neither is even in the top 5 #8s of all time in US sports history - sorry got to go Yogi, Kobe, Ovechkin, Young and probably Yaz with Stargell as an honorable mention. (Kobe 2nd as he only wore it part of his career obviously - Yogi was simply a champion longer wearing the number.

Oh - runs in my mind a couple of pretty good futballer’s wore that number too.

I can understand trademarking a logo like "Era 8 by Lamar Jackson" or something.

But just trademarking "EIGHT" seems like it lacks distinction. Why did they let him, is it the all caps?

I'm surprised at that one.
