An achilles rupture takes about a year to get back to 100%. His surgery was absolutely remarkable in the sense he was walking without a boot or crutches in like 6 weeks, so he definitely accelerated the timeline. But playing at the 3-4 month mark with the season already over would be the dumbest thing he could or the team could ever do. In early January he'd be like 50% to re-rupture it in a game.

Most people at the 4 month mark would be doing very well for themselves if they could do a light jog.
