I don’t tilt very often anymore. But I guess all of us do it from time to time. This one had a happy ending.

I was pissed that I missed a chance to bet Newgarden in IndyCar yesterday. He cruised to the win. It was a double headed and he was going for his fifth all-time win at the track. Bet him for $200 at +250. He was dominant and leading by more than two seconds when something broke on the car. I was already cashing that $700.

I deposit $200 twice in BAS and lose it playing baccarat. I’m totally pissed now, down $600. I deposit $400 more in BAS. If I lose it all I’m down a dime today instead of up $500.

I was going to play a hand or Baccarat but was disciplined. I saw there was a first-time $200k Baffert starter with great breeding and bullet works going off at Del Mar in the fourth at 7/5 odds. Went all in on him with the $400 and he won for fun. Awesome feeling.

Ended up down $30 bucks overall and put in for a $970 withdrawal from BAS and turned off the casino. Happiest I’ve been to lose $30 bucks in a day in awhile.

To the newbies. Don’t try this strategy at home. It usually doesn’t work out this well 😀

The day in the life of BigJay on a bender. This time it worked just fine. I’m glad you got your money back Chief. 👍

Love Del Mar where the turf meets the surf. Also like that there’s a dog beach right across the street. Disney Land for dogs.

I thought this was a story on my past 2 weeks but the tear jerker version going 130 bucks into 18k down to 400 to 15K what 4 times. You have to be a real dumb ass to fvck that up that many times. :duh:

Glad this one had a happy ending. Actually mine came out up pretty good but not what it should have been

I've done close to the same a few times

Maybe not quite that much must close

It takes a while to heal for sure and it not eat you alive

And you think about how you blew a great opportunity, and believe you'll never get anywhere close to going on such an amazing run again, thinking how you would never screw it up again, but it does eventually happen again and then another choice how to handle it yet again

I almost exclusively post up at BAS and Heritage now because of their fast weekend payouts. Chance of tilting much less. I’ll even take odds 10 percent less or so sometimes to post at BAS rather than BM for example because no weekend payouts at BM (which is insane a book that big Does this. Only reason not to have weekend payouts is to get customers to lose their winnings back and it’s bush league for BM)

Also I don’t drink anymore since I got out of a bad marriage four years ago so that helps not tilting too

Craziest tilt run I ever went on was at BM. I deposited $5k and put it all on Michigan ML vs Wisky last year’s Big10 title game. Won $1500 profit and was totally hyped on adrenaline.

couldn’t sleep so I started playing baccarat online. Bunch of ups and downs but near sunrise my balance was at $300 down from $6,500 and I was so upset. I went on the biggest heater ever with that $300 and turned it back into $4100. Quit then. There were three big favs in NFL that day: TB, bills and one other. I did a three-team ML parlay for the $4100 and all three won easily so I was back up to $6700. I cashed it out the next day. Also I got betpoints a couple of weeks later for $850. Turned it into a grand and cashed it out too. So tuned that $300 into about $8k

Trying to make more sound decisions and not have that happen ever again

There's nothing like losing back everything you won and more, and then letting it ride on one big play and winning it all back and then getting to cash out what a feeling that is as you know

The bad thing is when you get to the state of just being numb on those kinds of wins and loses because they happen so frequent. You get tired of the grind to the point of not wanting to do it. More of a boredom thing anymore.

Just think how much cash books like 5D made playing the waiting game. Everyone of us knew the delay game but but thought we were smarter than them and would stick it to them for an extra 1K or so...rarely went that way. So happy to see weekend withdraws these days
