Why is Tulane, a 11-2 team a big underdog today against Virginia Tech 6-6, Tank?

They play in the American Athletic Conf (a weak conf) and they've only played two decent teams this year and lost to both.

Their #1 WR, #1 TE and best Def End are in the portal so they may not play. They also have quite a few backup def backs in the portal.

Even with these items, I think its crazy Tulane is a double digit dog. They are much closer in ratings than the line indicates.

I agree with almost all of this. Tulane should still be solid upfront on both sides of the ball and they should still be pretty stout on defense overall.

Although with their head coach on the way out and so many guys hitting the portal my real worry for Tulane here is motivation. Do they show up wanting to win? always a big ? in these bowl games

horrible conditions are slowing both teams down some and it's been advantage Tulane so far!
