1 MLB Play I Like Today Apr 22

St Louis -119 vs Cincy
Cincy is on the losing streak from hell. They haven't won in 12 days (0-9). They do come home for today's game so their chances improve but only a little. The advantage in starting pitching is tough to call. Matz (STL) had a rough start in his first game but then turned it around in his next outing. He's got a lot of experience (7 yrs) and is going up against a rookie in Hunter Greene. Greene did OK in his first two starts so its tough to say one pitcher is playing better than the other. In general, I like experience but lets call starting pitching a toss up.

Batting is one sided all Cardinals. STL WRC+ 110, CIN WRC+ 39 (worst in MLB by a long way). Cincy is hitting 0.156 as a team. Damn that is bad. They are clearly the worst team in baseball right now at 2-11. The Cardinals also have a lot better group of relief pitchers. 2.15 ERA vs 4.18 for Reds. I think the losing streak continues for the Reds today.


I was leaning Mets -119 vs Ariz and/or the U8.5 on that game but I don't trust the Mets starting pitcher (Peterson) yet.
