👎Referees Deciding Outcomes Of Games - Soccer Has To Be The Worst

There’s always been talk about how officials in sports should not determine the outcome of games with late questionable calls

Following Live games regularly these days, I’ve found that soccer has to be the most controversial

When a match is tied, in extra time and nearly over, there is no way a referee should basically give one team the victory by calling & awarding a penalty shot, which is basically a gimme-goal

I’ve seen this too many times and it simply adds to the already shady stuff we hear & see about soccer games

Game tied in 5minute extra time

Over 4 minutes in (1 minute left) and I have a parlay looking great

Referee awards a penalty shot with seconds left, (WHATV this thread is all about) so I’m basically done

They review and wave the penalty off

Finally something crazy goes right

Why is a referee, who already added 10 minutes of extra time, and who has already let the game go for 5 minutes over the extra time, which has now turned into over 15 minutes of extra time, calling a penalty, and GIVING the game to one team, when it should have already ended to begin with

Here is yet another example of soccer officials having too much control in giving games away to one team

This happens all the time

0-0 and already well past the added injury time and they award penalties when much of the time the game should have already ended to begin with

After a long delay the official who awarded the penalty was overruled and it was waved off

while “watch-able” is personal preference, I have to disagree with “bet able”. Soccer has some of the highest edges available and the fact that it’s played all year round increases volume thus making it a great sport to bet on.
