Are you a scratch golfer Clyde?

When I golfed, years ago, I got down to ~10 handicap but, I have to be honest. It was because I golfed at the same course for years and knew every ground swale and green slope. Now I'd probably need 3 shot handicap per hole just to compete.

It was a cool job, especially when I was in my 20's and 30's. I worked as a club pro for a few different golf courses here in Colorado for about 20 years. I still give lessons occasionally (mainly to support my gambling habit) but unfortunately had to grow up and get a more stable job. If I kept a handicap now, it would probably be a 3 or 4 but was definitely a scratch golfer in those days. Only get to play once or twice a month now, I hit the ball as good as I used to but my short game sucks now.

I don’t have an official handicap, but usually shoot mid to high 70’s which I assume would be like a 3 or 4.

Just turned 50 a couple weeks ago but have not come to terms with that yet.
