Rosh Hashanah is often treated as a time to reflect on the previous year and focus on hopes for the coming year, according to Jordan Rosenblum, the Belzer Professor of Classical Judaism and Max and Frieda Weinstein-Bascom Professor of Jewish Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“It's the beginning of the Jewish calendar, and like all new years there are, it’s a time for sort of taking stock, right? What do I want to improve? You know, the equivalent of joining the gym in January,” he said.

JJ you should not even be gambling if you are serious about your religion. Also, get Mallomars cause they are on sale. Love them.
Its funny how some deeply religous people gamble.

I had a contractor come to the house last week to give an estimate on some remodeling. Great guy. He saw my computer screen with odds pulled up and asked if I gamble. He said, he gambles a lot. Even gave me a couple of plays for the day to look at. Based on his comments I could tell he was a devote GAMBLER.

Before he left, he handed over a couple of plastic "Jesus cares" bracelets and two small statues of Jesus to put in your car. I was like, whoa...

He explained, he doesn't drink, do drugs, cuss, etc..... His only vice was gambling and he felt Jesus would understand. Not sure what to think about that. 🤷‍♂️

The Jewish guys are the smartest posters
Just because someone has wealth doesn't necessarily mean they are smart. Having said that the smartest man I know is Jewish and he's my fathers best friend. This self made Jew is worth $300 million and he grew up poor from Miami in the 1960's. A true renaissance entrepreneur man who earned everything he has to this day. I made the most money working for him a decade ago doing commercial electrical work for one of his many buildings he owns. His contracts were so lucrative & creative he could pay me $500 a day for a 9-10 hour shift. This job only lasted 2 months, but it was the smoothest 20K I ever made in my life. Too bad he doesn't have any construction jobs right now, because he would be the 1st man I would call for work.
