Released it on Twitter. It was promptly banned by every major streaning service. Released it on the 80th anniversary of Germany's defeat in World War II.

I can't figure this dude out.

Either he's completely and utterly insane or we are witnessing one of the greatest geniuses of our time.

Why do I say this? Consider this for a moment...

Any song with the title of "Heil Hitler" is going to be expected to be filled with anti-jewish hatred and this song doesn't disappoint as it most certainly does.

Here is a sample of the lyrics of the song:

Man These People Took My Kids From Me
Then They Post My Bank Account
I Got So Much Anger In Me
Got No Way To Take It Out
Think I’m Stuck In The Matrix
Where The f***’s My Nitrous

He's clearly blaming jewish people for this. If this is true, then he knows they would have this song banned which, of course, did happen.

So if he knew this beforehand, then why did he do this?

Because he knew by doing this, it would draw even more attention than if they would have let it slide.

Upon it's release, it drew over 10 million views on Twitter/X. It's still going strong.

This means he's still relevant, his "art" is still taken seriously by the public (what does that say about the public?), and he's still very relevant to the culture.

He confirmed all of this by releasing this song when he did.

So, is he a total nutbag or an absolute genius?

To me - there’s a line between genius artist and self serving asshole.

To be a genius artist - you create the content solely to spark conversation on the topic. No matter how taboo the topic - you seek to solely create an open discussion and not to enrich yourself personally from it.

A self serving asshole seeks to get rich/gain fame off of others suffering. They hide behind the logic of being a “artist” while continuing to attach their name to everything they do no matter how notorious and no matter what issues it causes others. All they care about is their self - and the moment it fails to generate notoriety or profit - they lose interest.

It’s pretty clear based on his prior level of “artist” behavior and the fact that he continues to push his name with any of this work what camp Ye falls into.

He could easily create a persona and quietly/publicly release this stuff to a world wide audience to spark the conversation without having to rely on it to gain traction solely because of his name being behind it - but he doesn’t - because it doesn’t serve to keep his name in the news or put $$ in his pocket.

The hype machine can make anyone famous/infamous overnight - but Ye isn’t worried about bringing anything new to the world - just cashing in on old hatred’s and taboo topics.
