Just because some posters have differing opinions and openly state so, doesn't mean the forum isn't supporting one another. That is a gross overstatement. There is a tremendous amount of support posters are providing to other posters. I see it all the time.

Besides, politics/racism/mysogynism/etc... will happen on every social media outlet. BMR is no different (as can be seen in many posts/threads). Discussions/arguments from both sides of an issue are going to happen. It has to be expected.

As far as being different than in prior years, I don't believe that is the case. It was happening since day 1. You might notice it more now because BMR has more posters but it was always around.

I pretty much gave up here except for the random check-in. For nothing more than a cluttered run-through of 80% posts that have nothing to do with sports gambling or gambling in general. If I wanted that much non-gambling content, I'd go to X or Insta or whatever.

I don't mind a good political or random debate and chatter, sure there is room for that, but when it begins to dominate a space that is built for something else, then it becomes too big of a negative to overcome.

I don't think it's anyone's fault it's just how these places flow sometimes.

Wager, you've been doing this for a looong time.

You know no matter what you do, move threads/post.... don't move them, it will always generate controversy. There is no winning that argument and its impossible to please everyone.

And although we argue and don't always see eye-to-eye on topics, I still respect the job you do. Its a tough one.

It's 100% a no-win situation for you guys. Moderating here is better than many forums I have been on, and I've been on tons through the years. You guys do a fine job

You’re right it will never be possible to please everyone (in real life either I deal with 2 groups daily for a living)

We can’t allow a Handful or less to dictate how the site operates and change who we used to be as discussed in this very thread

And you are right many of us do debate about certain things and that’s yet another reason the politics should remain in the proper place to keep he rest of the board civil (we will normally leave them for a short period of time before moving)

i have been a lurker for a long time after following some others over until making an account recently after all of this time. What I remember a year ago and years going back is that BMR posters supported each other which is what made me start coming back to this forum. Now there are guys who throw sissy fits because they don’t like what someone posts especially about politics and they make the place toxic or run away and hide like little girls. The founding members here need to make BMR strong again and silence the bigots or moderators need to ban them.
