AD sends out a letter to season ticket holders threatening to take away their tickets for being over-active on the secondary market. Then ends the letter with a request for donations. He won’t survive this.

At the university of Texas they are partners with StubHub and openly let folks know if they can’t make the game, etc

Strange an AD would send this
UCF has a process where you can sell or trade within their network. UCF salespeople push this when trying to sell season tix. Makes no sense to penalize people for it.

Additiinally, there is a large alumni base that lives out of state. Their way of supporting the program is keeping their season ticket plans, then giving the tix away to locals. They received the letter.

Lastly, the on-field product has sucked the last few years. Can’t expect people to continually go watch a shit product.

The AD is done, in my opinion. Pissed off too many ticket holders after an embarrassing couple of seasons for football and hoops.

Wow. That was a cluster f#k on the Athletics Department's part.
Not sure how many times I picked up great deals or sold tickets when I could go on the secondary market

I remember the secondary market back in the day. Usually consisted of black guys at the arena or stadium

“Who needs two!”

Exactly.....

Now most municipalities have laws restricting scalping outside the arenas, which is BS so 2ndary online market is the only option.

Cant even get a hard ticket today

All online, yet charge $30 convienence fee

I hate that shit. Its only option. Like resort fee at casino same if pool open or closed....wtf man
This is a fact.

A couple years ago I lost a bet to a friend and had to buy him tickets to an MiLB game. I was gonig to buy the cheapest tickets I could to piss him off. The fees cost more than the tickets. WTF.

Got to agree - not likely to go well when you tell people paying a premium dollars for select level season tickets to your events that they are limited in their resale options or you’ll revoke the premium seat assignment and give to someone you deem more deserving (read - gives a bigger bribe/donation).

The whole ticket scheme racket these days is so stupid. In my day we stood in line at the box office and were happy to get a seat - now you click on a website - and get up charged for premium seats where even sitting on the end of a damn aisle is a “premium perk”. How in the hell is having to get up to allow the same 2 jackasses middle of the aisle who can’t remain in their seats for 45 seconds to enter/exit a “premium” perk?

Just like years ago I can remember getting family section seats cheaper for games because no beer vendors allowed and security kept a closer eye on loud fans. Now it’s a damn premium section too.
