Rumors are James Harden will be traded from LAC to the Cavs for Darius Garland.

I read this would open up cap space for the Clippers. Not sure as Harden and Garland make similar salaries but the NBA salary cap definitely confuses me.

Plus obviously they’d get younger.

Overall, this feels like a classic “win-now desperation” play from Cleveland amid a competitive East. If it happens, it shakes up the conference big time making Cavs more dangerous but riskier. If not, expect more deadline drama Harden could end up elsewhere for sure.
