Had shockingly never heard that.




Funny story my grandfather when he was alive used to belong to this high-dollar club that had four indoor basketball courts.

They used to drop me off there when was probably 15-16 years old for a few hours. Lift weight, swim, shoot hoops, etc.

A lot of pretty good pick-up games. Once a team had next and I had to do a triple-take. George Gervin was stepping onto the court to play against us.

He was probably about 50 at the time. Didn’t play a lick of D . Just sat back and shot 25-30 footers. Would drain about one out of every three or four.

Pretty neat experience.
